Antibody

Floating among a fleshly neutral palette are amorphous collaged compositions. Taken from my original photographs, the “Antibody” series removes a singular element from the body until its figurative nature slips into the surreal. Disconnected from their form, each fragmented facet of the human body becomes abstract. We begin to recognize new objects, like sea shells or still lifes, in their organic arrangements. An inherent absurdity emerges as we witness the isolated parts that make up the whole of our bodies transform before us.
